Her areas of focus include single institutional review board requirements and policy development to strengthen protections for research participants. In 2019, Lubabah obtained her certification as a certified institutional review board professional. In 2021, she was invited to serve as the NIH-funded SMART IRB ambassador for the Pacific and West Coast.
